Unusual national holidays and festivals

We all love holidays. Traditional holidays in Russia is New year, Christmas, February 23, March 8, may 9 and others. But for anybody a secret that every country has their own national holidays and festivals. And many of them are of particular interest due to its uniqueness and exclusivity.

In January, for example, in Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro celebrate with an interesting name Tutsindan . (“Tuchin day” or “Fat day”).

This holiday is traditionally enjoyed children: they should not be punished, otherwise, according to legend, they will be naughty all year.

In Sweden in January to celebrate St. Knut’s Day (Tjugondag Knut).

International film festival is the largest festival in Odessa

Odessa – a Ukrainian seaport and a beautiful resort with a rich cultural history and long-standing cinematic tradition. In 1894, a year and a half before the famous Lumiere brothers, Odessa engineer Joseph Timchenko presented to the public the projected “Moving pictures”. Brazil: carnival in Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian carnivals, perhaps, the most exciting show in the world and the main event of the year for every Brazilian. No wonder they say that in Brazil live from carnival to carnival.

The carnival in Rio de Janeiro — event dream of millions of people. Every year in February the whole of Brazil is covered by the continuous thunder of drums, batter incendiary rhythm of Samba, immersed in the noisy, bright and cheerful holiday, greatest show on the planet.
