We are pleased to continue our tour through Prague autumn, and here we are again at the old town square, where twenty-seven white crosses remind about one of the saddest events in the history of the Czech Republic. In 1621 there was executed twenty-seven leaders of the Estates rebellion against the authority of the family of Habsburg and king Ferdinand II. Popular rumor has it that their ashes buried in the Church of the Holy Salvatorelli or in the walls of the Tyn Church.

The legend says that every year, on the day of his execution, the 21st June, the ghosts of the dead people can be seen next to the old tower.
