The Pancake week in Russia

The ancient Slavic holiday of Maslenitsa is seven days of fun, sledding, competition and, of course, enjoying delicious pancakes. Scope and content it is often compared with the European carnivals, the time when you can immerse yourself in the vibrant whirlwind of popular culture.

Carnival and Christian tradition
