2 Russian buildings claim to be the Best building in the world
The world architecture festival has released the list of finalists who will claim the title of «Best building in the world 2014″. Every year the organizers of the international festival of architecture selected worldwide more than 600 prominent and iconic buildings built in the last year, including in the far, exotic and the most visited countries.
This year the list of finalists came as international stars of architecture (for example, two buildings by Zaha Hadid), and lesser-known architects from Iran, Vietnam, Mexico. Among the nominees there is also a Russian company WOWHAUS with the implementation of the «the documentary film Center» in Moscow.
This team belongs to another application — a set of modules kiosks for the reconstruction of the Embankment of the Sparrow hills in Central Park of culture and rest in Moscow. In the short list among the nominees in the category «the Future» (in this category are just the projects, but not the implementation) it turned out so well and working in Moscow, the company of Polish architects BLANK ARCHITECTS with project Centre for contemporary art «Drummer» in Moscow and the project Welness center. Recall that the winners of the contest for the project of reconstruction «Drummer» steel Bureau Arata Isozaki & Associates from Japan, Stephan Braunfels Architekten from Germany and Robbrecht en Daem architecten (Belgium).
The world architecture festival is the most striking architectural show the planet and the most significant event in global architecture. The festival itself is a huge exhibition of architectural projects (in the main program involved only implementations) and varied programme of lectures and seminars, which are the most vivid and influential architects in the world. In addition, the festival provides plenty of opportunities for young architectural teams from around the world to show their work to as large an international jury and a large number of professionals from all over the world who come annually to the festival.
